Just finished resetting the audio settings on the DAW :glare:

The Line 6 is fantastic. But WHY do software writers think that they know best? After running the Line 6 editor installation software, none of my tracks in Cakewalk would produce a sound

A quick investigation shows that all the device settings for audio have been defaulted to the disabled motherboard sound system???

Minor gripe. But I'd have been grumpy all night if I hadn't got it off my chest! :D

Switch off the amp modelling in the Black Box and run the output from the PodXT into it. Lots of fun :)

(Or is that the other way round  .)

IIRC, the Pod XT will configure itself as an external soundcard if you plug it in via USB and bullies its way to the front of the queue shouting ME ME ME ME ME, I want to make your sounds; check your audio devices when it's connected to see if my memory is sound...

What this may mean when you disconnect is that the poor PC doesn't know what to play sounds through any more as when the XT leaves the building, the previous sound controller doesn't poke its head out of the blankets to see if it's gone....

Do ignore me if I'm talking twaddle. Again.

Not twaddle at all, Gary! :D

That's EXACTLY what it had done. I've bullied it back into submission and it's no longer overriding my setup. ;)

Thanks for the tip David. I've got both boxes (plus the Pandora and the Magicstomp) all hooked into a patchbay and the mixer at the moment. Just fiddling with options as I type.

They even manage to make Marc's crappy Gibson sound half decent!
