Still haven't found the cause, but it currently doesn't seem to be doing it anywhere near as much. I am absolutely buggered if I know why.

Anyway, a couple of months in with the C7 and I adore it. I put a Gold Lion re-issue power tube in it. Not convinced it's 'better' than the old EI tube, just 'different'. I love Shiraz and Cabernet. Both good, one's a little smoother and I guess it depends what mood you're in.

It was my first practice with a few other folks last night. It was at one of their houses and we had to keep it down due to children being in bed. It was so much easier to get the noises I wanted out of this thing plus the attenuator vs the Tonelab and an acoustic practice amp (which was my previous practice setup). The only thing I did all night was adjust the volume on the guitar and occasionally stamp on a pedal. That meant I was free to appreciate how bad my timing was
