Here we have my Hamer CX3T, I bought her back in January and after the first month I have hardly touched her. She plays pretty well, but the pickups really suck and I mean suck :puke:

I was going to sell or px, which is still an option, however I don't think I need another type of guitar. It's not as if I'm desperate for cash, so I was thinking about doing a bit of a project.

I love the glossy black finish, so I am a little hesitant to refin, but she could do with something, even if only decals of some sort.

The pickups really are a no brainer and if I do mod, there will be a steam hammer and a couple of hot rails going in.

I don't like the trem, it's one of those semi floating things, I slackened it off and it rests on the body, so it works only one way. I can't really think of anything to replace it with and a Floyd is out of the question, due to high cost.

Anyway I'm open to suggestions on mods, if anyone has any ideas I'd be interested in hearing them. Is it worth polishing this turd ?

Thanks

I just had to apologise, as I know I have already asked this a while ago elsewhere. It's just that after the Burny arriving, I'm not too sure where to go from here.

I think I'd go with the pup replacement as a starting point. leave the rest "as is" for the moment. See whether you feel differently about the guitar after improving the sound. ;)
