Transistor
Nasty, tinny things with components that look like robotic insects. But some folk like 'em!

Valves
The nicest way to warm a room. Lovely, organic items of desire. Good valve amps are grown from cuttings rather than built in a factory...

The "Hidden Meaning" track was a little different. I used the output of the GR20 to control the soundfonts. I didn't use any of the GR20's own sounds on that track. Even the drums on that track were laid down using the guitar through the GR20 and patched to a soundfont of a Tama RockStar kit

It's what I used on the Mollie Ellen tune. It was recorded "live". I ran the normal output of the Schecter to the Pandora and used an acoustic model, then just mixed that with the string patch from the GR20 and played. result sounds quite good if I may say so myself

The GR20 also sends and receives pitch bend information, so it's very expressive...

Each string has its own pickup (hence the "hex"). It's possible to have a completely different instrument assigned to each string!

So you pluck an e string, it sends an 'e' note and velocity to the GR20?

The GR20 has MIDI output. The hex pups drive the GR20. From the GR20, I could link into Omnisphere using the guitar as the controller instead of a keyboard.

No. Just the fuzzy stuff. The rest is my Westone bass, and a bunch of soundfonts. The piano part is me vamping on my old Technics synth into a yamaha piano synth module...

I don't really understand the GR20 / hex reference

The setup is really basic (compared to David's or the other David's)
